Manufacturing process of molybdenum metal rod:
The manufacturing process of our molybdenum cylindrical bar includes multiple steps, starting with mineral processing. The molybdenum concentrate is roasted and sublimated or wet processed to remove impurities and obtain pure molybdenum oxide (MoO3). The molybdenum cylindrical bar uses hydrogen reduction to convert MoO3 into metallic molybdenum powder. Subsequently, the molybdenum powder is prepared into a dense molybdenum cylindrical bar by powder metallurgy or arc melting. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Select high-purity (99.95%) molybdenum powder to manufacture the molybdenum cylindrical bar.
2. Hot-roll the molybdenum billet, improve the organizational structure through leveling and annealing, and control the dimensional tolerance of molybdenum cylindrical bar within plus or minus 0.05mm.
3. Remove the surface oxide to make the surface of molybdenum circular bar bright and burr-free.
4. Further refine the grains to improve the density and uniformity of the material.
5. Roll at low temperature to increase the strength and hardness of the material while maintaining the surface finish of molybdenum circular bar.
6. Shear the molybdenum circular bar according to demand, and eliminate residual stress through vacuum annealing to ensure the stability of the material performance.
7. Finely polish the molybdenum circular bar. After the surface quality meets the tolerance requirements, the molybdenum circular bar will be fully inspected, including density, purity and surface defect inspection. After all qualified, it will be packaged and sent to customers.
